Who we are

Fifteen years is a long time to be a journalist. Long enough to cover wars, elections, disasters, and the quiet stories nobody else bothers to tell. Long enough to see, up close, what happens when the press gets it wrong — or worse, when it stops trying to get it right.

That’s why we’re here.

We’re a group of journalists who spent years working inside big newsrooms and out in the field. We’ve seen how good reporting can change things — and how misinformation can tear communities apart. At some point, we stopped waiting for someone else to fix it and decided to build something ourselves.

We don’t have a political agenda. We don’t have a side to take. We just have a deep, stubborn belief that people deserve the truth — and that the truth, told carefully, still matters.

Every story we publish goes through the same question: is this actually true? Not “probably true.” Not “someone said it.” Actually, verifiably, provably true. If we’re not sure, we don’t publish. If we get something wrong, we say so plainly, without burying it at the bottom of the page.

We know fake news isn’t just annoying it’s dangerous. It poisons conversations, fuels fear, and divides people who might otherwise find common ground. We take that seriously. We think you should too, and we think you already do which is probably why you’re here.

Beyond the headlines, we care about something bigger. We believe the world can be better kinder, more peaceful, more honest. That belief shows up in how we choose our stories, how we write them, and how we treat the people in them.

We cover hard things. But we try never to lose sight of the human beings behind every story their dignity, their complexity, and their capacity for good.
